Well what a kerfuffle! All seemed to be going well with this show until I came back to add the finishing touches.

Somewhere in the recording of this show on my end of things a horrible echo was set up and I carried on not realising it was actually recording into the system.

So I had two options scrap it or do some serious production work - ten hours later we have a show!

Our guest today is EJ Clavo from the Pacific X-Treme Combat Organisation (PXC). This is one of the top organisations in Asian MMA and next weekend they will have PXC 33 in Manila, The Philippines with an expected live TV audience of around 500,000 screaming MMA fans probably making it the most watched live MMA event in Asia.

Regular listeners should know both these names, The Kill is an Asian based American who has fought for many of the local organisations and Mikey Rukus is an American who writes walk in music for all sorts of fighters and MMA organisations. 

We discuss Will’s latest fights, some of the ONE FC card, what makes Phuket Top Team so good. And Mikey gives us a catch up on his life since our last interview. This is a guy who is on the up and up (He has just done the  walk out music for Shogun Rua) and we wish him all the best.

He talks about the show that is PRO Fighting, the difficulty with keeping a fight card together when fighters keep pulling out at the last-minute.  Sponsorship, TV deals and more.

Royal is one of those people who are not in the sport for money but rather to see the sport grow and for that he must be supported, we need more like him.

Matt Pellino, Grappling Coach at Muayfit

American Matt, is the grappling coach at Kuala Lumpurs, Muayfit, and he tells us his story and explains how he came to be in Malaysia.

You better listen to this show, because I have a feeling Matt is going to be a regular guest, he’s a very entertaining dude.

He also happens to have a pretty good English accent!

OK that’s the good stuff. the bad stuff: for some horrible reason we had a full seven second delay on the line. I have through my awesome producing skills removed those periods of silence, however at times some strange things may happen where Matt will suddenly stop part way through a sentence, that’s my fault, I started talking, and Matt of course may have been mid-sentence and did not get my words until seven seconds later!

Also the line was pretty poor so at times it sounds like Matt is scuba diving.

We are working on these issues and a plan is in place for future shows with certain guests that should increase the quality of the sound by an incredible amount. here’s hoping!
