US Olympic wrestler Heath Sims has officially joined Evolve MMA

Evolve MMA is Asia’s top martial arts training organization, to head the Wrestling Program and to help train the Evolve Fight Team, Asia’s #1 professional fight team.
Evolve MMA is home to World Champions in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Mixed Martial Arts, and No Gi Grappling.  The professional Evolve Fight Team includes DREAM FC World Champion Shinya Aoki, UFC fighter Rafael dos Anjos, Total Combat FC Champion Eddie Ng, WBA Boxing World Champion Yodsanan Sityodtong, Muay Thai World Champion Orono Wor Petchpun, BJJ World Champion Zorobabel Moreira, MCFC Champion Leandro Issa, Muay Thai World Champion Namsaknoi Yudthagarngamtorn, MCFC Champion Mitch Chilson, and many other champions.
Heath is MMA legend Dan Henderson’s long time coach, training partner, and lead cornerman. He and Dan own Team Quest in Temecula together currently, but he will be relinquishing his ownership stake to assume his new role at Evolve MMA in Singapore.  Heath is a former US Olympic Greco-Roman wrestler and a 6x US National Champion.  He has won numerous national and regional wrestling titles in the US.  He has been Dan’s training partner for over 25 years since they were kids.
Heath has been a key part of Dan’s MMA team for many years and has trained, coached, and cornered Dan in Pride, UFC, Strikeforce, etc.  He is also the head of the Team Quest Fight Team where he coached and trained fighters such as Dan Henderson, Joe Warren, Rameau Sokoudjou, Tarec Saffiedine, Jesse Taylor, Dave Herman, Krzystof Sosynski, Sam Alvey, and many others.  Heath will join Evolve on a permanent basis and move to Singapore next month.  However, he will still maintain his lead cornerman duties for Dan Henderson and will fly out to corner Dan’s fights.
In related news, Jake Butler, an elite NCAA Division 1 wrestler with 20 years of wrestling experience in the US, has joined the Evolve Fight Team as a professional fighter.  He will be relocating to Singapore next month to live on a permanent basis.  He is currently a professional MMA fighter with ONE Fighting Championship, Asia’s largest MMA organization.
Jake has competed at the highest levels of wrestling in the US at the NCAA Division 1 National Wrestling Championship, the Olympic Qualifiers, and the US Open. Jake was also the Team Captain and 2x MVP on the Varsity Team at Princeton University. He is a New Jersey State Freestyle Wrestling Champion and was a long time teammate of UFC Champion Frankie Edgar. Jake also placed 3rd at the Junior National All-American Championship. In his wrestling career, he has wrestled against elite wrestlers such as UFC fighters Phil Davis, Jake Rosholt, Chris Weidman, and many others.
