Ultimate Beatdown Aiming To Shake Up Malaysia’s MMA Fight Scene

OK I am holding in my sweaty little palm a press release regarding the next event to be held by the Ultimate MMA Academy of Johor Bahru.
An event called Ultimate Beatdown.
Previously known as Ultimate Fight Night (UFN), this will be their sixth event.
Previous events have featured many international fighters and a good night of solid fighting entertainment is almost always guaranteed!
This event is expected to feature fighters from Melaka, Borneo, Johor, Singapore and the UK.
One of the notable fighters is Sunny “The Silencer” Sabornido, known for being Malaysia’s first mute & deaf fighter.
The full card which will be announced soon should feature Eight fights including five main events fights and three undercard events.
All the fighters at this event will receive a trophy (size depends on win or lose!) they will also receive a certificate of participation from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Malaysia.
All fighters will also be added to the official record on ‘Sherdog.com’ the Internationally famous MMA news website.
The event will also receive International Coverage thanks to the efforts of the Asian MMA media and beyond.
The venue itself is ‘cosy’ being held in the Ultimate MMA Academy at Mount Austin, Johor Bahru, entrance will be just RM10 payable on the door.
With an Overtime bar around the corner and a good selection of Cafes within walking distance those who come early will be all set for a great evening’s entertainment.
There is lot’s of free parking around the venue.
Melvin (Chian Yik) Yeoh, Ultimate MMA Academy’s owner and coach intends to hold this Ultimate Beatdown and future events with the purpose of putting fighters of similar skill levels to the test to help them grow in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts which is the fastest growing sport in the world a sport,that with the arrival of the ONE FC organisation in Singapore has been receiving tremendous international coverage.
Ultimate MMA Academy was established in 2006 in Johor Bahru focusing on developing the Mixed Martial Arts in Malaysia. It is also the only Gracie Jiu-Jitsu® Garage in Malaysia.
The Ultimate MMA Academy is open Seven Days a week and offers lessons for all skill levels from beginner right through to a highly skilled fighter level. There are also classes for children.
