EduCity to host MMA fight June 14th - UB14@Educity, Johor - Ultimate Beatdown is Back!

JOHOR BAHARU: EduCity Iskandar Malaysia will play host to two exciting events in June which are expected to attract 10,000 visitors and spectators across the nation and neighbouring countries.

The first event is the Ultimate Beatdown Fight League, Malaysia's premier grassroots mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion to be held from 6pm to 11pm on June 14.

Education@Iskandar Sdn Bhd Chief Operating Officer, K. Sugumaran said the event which was positioned to provide MMA fans and martial art exponents with scenes of real life combats and self-defence situations, had seen 13 successful events in Johor and was last year held at the KSL City Mall.

"It serves as a platform for amateur and professional fighters in South East Asia to earn recognition. There will be than 20 match fights with at least eight professionals making their way to EduCity Iskandar Malaysia," he told a news conference Monday.

He said fans can look forward to witnessing fights by Will "the Kill" Chope (USA), Mostafa "White Scorpion" Ashouri (Iran), Trestle "Jun Minions" Tan (Philippines), Garie Tang and Nicholas "Diaz" Lee (Singapore).
