Huusansaari put in a fight of the night performance, going the three full rounds before losing a decision to Shane”Ronin” Wiggand at DARE 1/12 and his reward is a second shot at the Lightweight Tournament.

While that was a clash of veterans, this time he will be up against one of the rising stars of Asian MMA and a man almost ten years his junior. Mark “Mugen” Striegl. Huusansaari should have size on his side because Striegl is naturally a featherweight, but Huusansaari will need to be at his best if he is to put a halt to the bandwagon of the 7-0 Filipino.

The winner of this fight will proceed to the Quarter final level of DARE Championship and a step closer of being in the group of the first DARE Champions and the receivers of the Million Dollar Grand Bonus.

MUGEN – Mark Striegl

Striegl’s (7-0) signature was sought by MMA promotions all over Asia but he decided to sign up for the DARE tournament. He wants to drop down to 61 kilos/ 135 lbs but is moving up to lightweight to wage war with the man known as Mad Dog.

Not only is he unbeaten in seven fights but he has faced some of the top featherweights in Asia and has also trained in multiple countries, making him a very well rounded fighter who has become much more than just a wrestler.

He is only 23 years old and this is a rare opportunity for the DARE audience to see one of the most exciting prospects in the entire MMA world doing battle in Bangkok.

MUGEN represents Team Buffet and trains at several top training centers for his first DARE fight; Fight Corps – Baguio, Muay Fit – Malaysia and Phuket Top Team – Thailand.

Marko Huusansaari (3-3) has fought for the top MMA promotions in China and the Philippines and has also fought Muay Thai at the famous Lumpini stadium in Bangkok. He is fighting out of Tiger Muay Thai at Phuket and is very confident in his stand up skills. His last fight with Shane “Ronin” Wiggand was an absolute war and he will be looking to go one better this time around and walk away with the win.
Although he will clearly be the underdog he should have a size and strength advantage against an opponent who wants to be competing at 61 kilos/ 135 lbs later in the DARE tournament and this is a fantastic opportunity for him to steal some of Striegl’s momentum and grab some glory for himself.
