Help Needed – The Japanese Language Is A Mystery To Me

Did You Know I Was Once Paid Three Months Money For One Weeks Work

No this is not a change of course for the website, I am not offering some get rich quick scheme, It’s just me reminiscing.

It’s funny to think that for a brief period I was Executive Manager of a Japanese Language News Digest based in London. Not one of my better career moves, Some ten years ago, I had just been offered an GB £8000 pa pay rise by my present company and a confirmation of my role as General Manager in Charge of Sales and Marketing, I had just over seen four years of major growth, I was on a roll. But, I was tempted away by tales of gold paved streets in London, oh and a even more substantial pay package. I had hit the big time!

Sadly, I realised by lunch time on the Monday that the company was pretty much insolvent and my taste of the big time evaporated fast as I hastily begged for my old job back and worked out a hasty exit golden handshake from my present role, the following week I was back at my old desk minus a pay rise!

I learned a couple valuable lessons, The grass really isn’t always greener. And, If you are happy then stay put, money really isn’t everything!

Anyway, the point of that story was, well, nothing really. But I did want to say, I could not speak a word of Japanese then and I still can’t.

So, I am afraid I can only do a pretty shitty job of keeping you informed of the goings on in Japanese MMA because very few of the organisations provide a real English language version of their websites. It’s my problem not theirs, but it does mean I really can’t keep you informed. So, unless a very kind Japanese speaker is able to help me stay upto date with the scene then I am afraid you will really have to go elsewhere for more in depth news because beyond Dates, Venues, Fight Cards and Results, well I got nothing!
