Legend Fighting Championship – Legend 8 – The Details, The Fighters

Legend Fighting Championship have just released all the details of Legend 8 @ Jakarta Convention Center, Senayan, Indonesia – March 30th

Starting from the Main Event and working down the card

Undefeated Fransino Tirta (10- 0 – 1) (Indonesia) (Synergy Academy), will be fighting in his home town of Jakarta for the first time in a long time. Something like eight long years. But, Indonesia’s best MMA fighter is coming to put on a show for all the Indonesian MMA fans in his battle against Yusuke (Bancho) Kawanago (8-3-1) (Japan) (Akimoto Dojo Revoryution). This will be the first ever Legend Featherweight Championship Title fight.
Now the bare figures would make this fight look a foregone conclusion but look deeper and it’s not. Tirta has not been the busiest fighter in recent years his last fight was in July 2011 but before that you have to go back to May 2009. So, this fight promises a lot.
Kawango has been much busier with four fights in 2011 alone. being 1 win, 1 draw and 2 losses. One of the losses was a split decision to the very talented Mark Striegl (7-0-0) at Legend 5, so this is no major blot on his record.
The fact is both these fighters have a number of wins by knock out so expect major fireworks.
There will also be a Legend Lightweight Championship Title Defense as reigning champion Jadamba Nurantungalag (7-2-0) (Mongolia) (Team Tungaa) will defend his hard won title, a Split Decision victory over Australia’s Adrian “The Hunter” Pang 19-8-2 at Legend 6. Against the younger and more experienced ”The Korean Bulldozer” Yui Chul Nam (13-3-1) (South Korea) (Team Posse).
This is going to be a very enjoyable fight, Nams last victory was a decision against the highly rated Vuyisule Colossa at Road FC 5. Nam also has faced Adrian Pang in a tough fought split decision loss at legend 4.
Nam has knockout power, but Nuranyungalag has a very good ground game. Expect the unexpected.
Next up with have Yusuke Kasuya (6-0-1) (Japan) (Akimoto Dojo Jungle Junction) a submission specialist coming in from the Shooto organisation for his first Legend fight against  ”Tornado” Un Sik Song (9-3-0) (Korea) (Daegu MMA) who is going to have to dig deep to revive his fading career, his last fight was a first round loss via TKO at Legend 6 (against the Australian Rob Hill 9-5-1) and three of his last four fights have been loses, before that he was unbeatable and he will need to find that earlier form to put himself back into contention.
Ming Yen “Sam” Sung (2-1-0) (Taiwan) (Tough MMA) will be hoping to spring back from a loss at Legend 7 (against tough Filippino Augustin “Demolisher” Delamino (5-1-0) via TKO in the first round). Sung is a veteren of now defunct Singapore Organisation Martial Combat. He is matched against Yohan Mulia Legowo (7-2-0) (Indonesia) like so many Indonesian MMA fighters he was left high and dry when TPIFC, the Indonesian MMA organisation shut down in 2004. After a six year lay off he came back with a win at Legend 3 and although he lost his next fight at Legend 4 he is obviously still a fighter who demands respect. This is a battle of two, thirty somethings, one fresh out of the box and the other been there done that. Who, will take this one?
Leonard “The One” Delarmino (3-2-0) (Philippines) (Team Capanay) a URCC veteren who will be looking to bounce back after two recent losses including a loss to Xian “The Executioner” Ji (4-0) at Legend 7. He will be facing Chengjie Wu (1-3-0) (China) (Extreme Sanda) on paper Wu’s record might look bad but his last two fights were at Legends 5 & 6 and both losses went the distance , Wu only losing via decision. So, this should be a real battle as both of these fighters will be fighting to rebuild their career.
Agustin “Demolisher” Delarmino Jr (5-1-0) (Philippines) (Team Capnay)  coming off of a storming 44 second TKO of Ming Yen “Sam” Sung at Legend 7. Delarmino must be like a spring that has not fully sprung, he is still ready to ponce on his next unfortunate victim. But “Crazy” Nam Jin Jo (6-3-0) (South Korea) (Busan Team M.A.D.) does not plan to be that man, he wants to bounce back from a Decision loss at Legend 5 (against Hongang “The Master” Yo 6-3-0). Both these guys are young and ready to battle.Expect pure excitement from this fight as two tough kids go at it.
There are more fights to come and we will update you when we get them
