The Perth Boys of K’Oz are back with Bragging Rights 3
One of the successes stories of Asian Pacific MMA this year must be those organizations who started operations in 2012 and quickly settled down to look like they knew what they were doing and where they were going, one such organization is K’Oz Entertainment who next weekend will hold their third event on home territory – Perth at the W.A. Italian Club.
These boys started straight out the box with professional shows and a commitment to bring in some exciting overseas prospects to tackle the local warriors.
This next event seems to be concentrating itself a bit more on home grown talent which should create a pretty noisy atmosphere and help to bring even more Australian talent to the fore.
Here’s some information about the event from their website:
“The main event of the night will pit Kris Kemps (Eclipse MMA) against Joel Oliver (Strike Gym) for the K-OZ Entertainment Lightweight (70kg) Title Belt. Kemps is known as an all around threat with an 8-1 record. Oliver, not to be outdone has a 6-1 record, recently competed in the Australian jiu-jitsu nationals and is looking to showcase his skills.
Rob “The Powerdrill” Powdrill (FFC) will take on Dave “Machete” Johnson (Strike Gym) in the 84kg bout. Said Johnson of his upcoming battle, “I can’t wait to fight Powdrill, we’re both looking to finish each other, and it’s definitely going to be an exciting fight.”
Other key matchups on the night include Dean Roberts against debut fighter Peter Kennedy, Geordie McKenna vs. Sam Blythe, Chris Indich vs. Peter Carr, Luke Dowsett vs. Tien Ngyen, Joel Graham vs. Doug Baxter, Mitch O’Dowd vs. Sam Faiers, Steve Wong vs. Waylon, Harley Howe vs. Hatti Bazzy, Scott Norris vs. Steph Bon Temps and Josh Watson vs. Dylan te Waa.
When asked why fans should make their way to the WA Italian Club on Friday 29th June, Stewart said “The fighters know what’s on the line, apart from their pride and records, next week is the deciding factor between who will go on to compete in Bragging Rights 4 later in the year. It will separate the men from the boys and fans will start to see the emergence of WA’s elite fighters.”
Tickets are available online and range in price from $55 general admission to VIP Gold at $300 per person, which includes a gift bag, a 3-course meal and beverages. Doors open at 6pm and tickets are available online at k-ozentertainment.com.au or by calling 0405 654 777.
The official weigh-in is scheduled for 6pm at The Paddington Ale House where fans have the opportunity to hear from fighters and meet some of the SxyMMA ring girls”.
