Days of Glory 2 – The Struggle Within

(thanks to the guys at Days of Glory for the press release that follows)

Following the unfortunate withdrawal of Dylan Andrews through injury Days of  Glory 2 – The Struggle Within – Saturday the 5th of May at The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre will now feature an explosive international match up.

“Hungry” Hae Jun Yang (7-2, Team M.A.D.,South Korea) vs Vaughn “Blud” Anderson (15-1-1, Legacy Gym, Thailand)

This is a main event not to be missed……………………………..

Hae Jun Yang is coming off of two impressive wins at Legends FC including his Knockout of the night performance against Japan’s Hideto Tatsumi. Known as being an extremely heavy-handed striker at light heavyweight “Hungry” started his career with 5 straight KO/TKO wins, including an impressive 14 second KO of Joaquim Ferraira. Ferraira is better known for being the only loss on UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior Dos Santos resume. After dropping two consecutive losses Hae Jun made the decision to drop to middle weight and take his training a lot more seriously, moving to Busan to train with Team M.A.D. (home of UFC fighter “Stun Gun” Dong Hyun Kim) he is now making a big impact at his new weight class with 2 impressive wins.

Vaughn Anderson is riding an eight fight win streak, where none of the fights went to a decision. Known for being an aggressive fight finisher, Vaughn recently won a one day six man heavyweight mma tournament in Taipei. Clearly underweight against his heavier opponents Vaughn finished all three of his fights in the first round with punches at PRO Fighting 6 – Heavyweight Grand Prix. So far Vaughn has only been to a decision twice in his seventeen fight career.

The main card and undercard is also stacked with fights that promise to be extremely explosive. The battle of two of the Gold Coast’s top Bantamweights, Shannon McClellan (5-1, Five Rings Dojo) and Jack Gooderham (5-0, Shindo New Breed) is a highly anticipated match up that will not fail to deliver. Glory 2 also boasts the mma debut of former England and Surrey cricket captain Adam Hollioake. Hollioake’s extremely successful cricket career left him with nothing to prove to the sporting world. The competitor in him is now pursuing success in mma coming off the back of his pro boxing debut win by tko.

This is a night not to be missed and tickets are selling fast on Ticketek.com.au and VIP table packages are available by calling 0420 993 144 or info@dogmma.com
