So It’s been and gone – DARE 2-12 and here’s the round up

So It’s been and gone – DARE 2-12 and here’s the round up

Well, it seems so long ago now but DARE 2-12 was only last weekend:

So here’s my final views on what I have to say was personally a very anticipated event – Here’s the event in words and pictures.

The show for those who don’t know is held in Club Insomnia in Bangkok a Night Club on Sukhumvit Road (Soi 12) which firstly puts it right in amongst the action of one of the most exciting cities in the world. Leaves you surrounded by some of the most beautiful women anywhere and gives you access to amazingly good Thai food and the weather well this weekend it was amazing.

So your MMAnewsAsia team members arrived in Thailand on Thursday and by 7:00pm where safely in our new home the Wonderful Ramada Hotel and Suites (Soi 12 people) and as is often the way in Thailand, the staff were attentive and organised and we were soon in our very nice room and in the same hotel as most of the fighters. Thanks to the kindness of the Dare organization and their sponsors.

We met up with Dare boss Jussi and Dare entertainer extraordinaire Handsome J at the American style diner attached to Club Insomnia and had some nice cold beers and great food as we enjoyed catching up with these two guys.

Even though the event was bearing down fast and everybody wanted their attention they kindly entertained us until we called it a night, well almost – we had to check out some bars and well maybe look at some lovely sexy young ladies

The next day was weigh-ins and that really just built the whole anticipation level up another level, it’s all very easy going at DARE and we got to meet and talk to the fighters and everybody was pumped up ready for tomorrows fights. Although some people would be spending the next few hours trying to cut some excess weight!

So yes we may have had more fun eating drinking and looking at scantily clad sexy young ladies after the weigh-ins but that’s because we are men (and not nice ones!) and this is Bangkok!

The day of the fight and everybody was excited milling around the area long before the doors opened. We received our passes and picked a perfect position to watch the fights.

I won’t go into the fights there are loads of great reports and even some videos out there plus of course our podcasts (check them out) but what I will say is once again the DARE organization upped their game and things went smoother, louder, brighter and harder than ever.

The event from a fight fans point of view was excellent, from the point of view of somebody who likes pumping music and bright lights, cold beer and hot women, well, it could not be bettered.

The event was excellent, let the party begin and begin it did.

With a gentle after fight event for the fighters, team members, press and friends in the Garden of the Ramada Hotel and Suites.

Where we got to see many lovin’ couples! (Sorry ladies I did not remember all your names).
