DARE 1-12 The Full Blood and Guts Story Part 1
DARE 1-12 The Whole Event As It Happened Part 1.
Yes, I know that the results have already been released all over the internet. But, We are not about that, we are not just facts and figures, we are about the atmosphere and the reality. We don’t play hype games and we definitely don’t write puff pieces. We tell it like it is, like it or lump it.
So, DARE 1-12 at Club Insomnia Bangkok then.
The simple facts first. This was the Dare organisations third event and was held at Club Insomnia in Bangkok again. There were to be seven fights but a late injury to one of the the fighters meant that would now be six, or would it? More on that later.
The venue whilst limited in size leading to the events being an almost guaranteed sell out, is still a great venue, the cage from PK Boxing was sitting proudly in the middle of the space and the lighting rig above it was something a bit special and of course this is a night club so the sound system was amazing.
The crowd built up quickly and there was a real buzz rising.
At 4:00pm the official start time an announcement was made by the Excellent DARE MC – Jon “The Entertainer” Nutt, the show was going to start late, firstly it was cool that they kept the crowd informed, and secondly, Nutt did it with great humour. Think back to ONEFC and the way the event started an hour after the advertised time, there were no announcements. DARE know how to run a professional event. It’s not always about size, it’s also about quality.

They again exchange hooks, Capo takes two shots at the Rock who slips both of them, the Rock places a solid inside leg kick, immediately followed by an outside leg kick and he blocks a counter hook.
There is a few seconds while they resize each other up before they both attack with a hook which lands, the Rock lands another inside leg kick and then a hook, Capo is hurt, he wobbles, the Rock ponces and lands punches into Capos head, Capo goes down, he is trying to defend himself but he is taking lots of punches, he uses his legs to defend himself, Rock skirts them and continues to land bombs, he also goes to the ground and is in half guard, Rock continues to pound Capo who is taking a lot of solid hits and his defense is failing, he continues to take a real beating, hammer fists. Capo gets the Rock in guard but Rock continues to land hammer fists and the referee steps in as Capo verbally taps out.
A powerful and exciting first fight.
