Singapores "The Slasher" Signs WIth PXC

Editors Note: Just because another organisation claims 95% of all Asian fighters, does not mean they have 95% of the best fighters. PXC has some of the best Asian talent to be found and this latest signing shows they intend to keep building based on talent.

PXC Signs Singaporean MMA Fighter!

Syafiq Abdul Samad Recently Signs Multi-Fight Deal with PXC!

Pacific X-treme Combat (PXC), one of the most-respected Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) promotions in Asia-Pacific, recently expanded their roster by signing one of Asia's top new-comers, Syafiq Abdul Samad, a 20 year old amateur champion from Singapore. Syafiq trains out of Juggernaught Fight Club in Singapore, and is talked about as one of Singapores best up and coming fighters.
According to Team Juggernaught's Head Coach, Arvind Lalwani, Samad has over 22 amateur Boxing and Muay Thai fights and has been collected over 8 championships in his young career. He is also the first Singaporean to win an Asian Muay Thai Championship...and now the first Singaporean to sign a professional MMA deal with PXC!
As one of Asia-Pacific's premier MMA organizations, PXC has built a reputation as the most experienced promotion outside of Japan with 36 professional events, and since expanding to the Philippines in 2011, PXC shows have garnered some of the highest ratings of any MMA show in the region. PXC has also built a reputation for showcasing future MMA stars on the way to The UFC, the world's top MMA competition. PXC CEO & Promoter, E.J. Calvo, stated, "We pride ourselves on recruiting young talent, and Syafiq is a promising young fighter who has the potential to represent Singapore on the world stage. We look forward to his PXC debut. It will be a good test to see where he is at."
Syafiq Abdul Samad is slated to make his PXC debut against Lightweight, Glen Ranillo, a strong Filipino veteran to PXC with a record of 2-2. Ranillo is coming off an impressive win in PXC-35 earlier this year, and hopes welcome Samad to PXC with a bang.
According to Legacy MMA Founder, Ole Laursen, "I have trained with Syafiq and he has great potential, always looking to further develop and thirsty to fight. In my oppinion, he is the best, true Singaporian MMA fighter and trains with the best fight camp in Singapore, Juggernaut Fightclub. They also have the best competition team with national champs in Boxing, Muay Thai and Wrestling, and I'm exited to see him grow to the task of fighting in PXC."
Arvind Lalwani also stated, "I would like to thank PXC for signing Syafiq to their roster. PXC is one of the biggest MMA organization's in Asia and it's about time Syafiq showed his talent! My boy is gonna rip hearts out!"
PXC-37 will take place on May 18, 2013 at The Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig-Manila, Philippines. The event will be broadcast nation-wide on AKTV via IBC-13 to millions of viewers in the Philippines, and will stream online via PXC's Facebook page.
