PXC ~ Pacific Xtreme Combat 31 ~ Preview

PXC – Pacific X-treme Combat 31

If you wondered why ONE FC are heading to the Philippines soon, wonder no more. The Philippines is MMA crazy, it’s all over the TV over there and they have a couple of great MMA organizations: The URCC who have been established for 10 years and the foreign invader from Guam, Pacific X-treme (PXC). Both these shows attract lots of upcoming new fighters and plenty of good quality fighters and many screaming passionate local fans, both organizations send their successful fighters onto bigger International organisations.

You can check out some Filipino talent at PXC by watching this 9 fight card next weekend, July 14th at Ynares Sports Arena, Pasig, Philippines. The fight is headlined by the Bantamweight championship bout between Guam’s Justin Cruz and Filipino native Crisanto Pitpitunge.

Heres: The Fight Card

Jerry “The Destroyer” Legaspi (2-5) (Philippines) Vs Arex Montalban (no record) (Philippines)

Glen Ranillo (1-0)  (Philippines) Vs Macky Favis (no record) (Philippines)

Eugene Toquero (1-0) (Philippines) Vs Victor “Gladiator” Torre (6-0) (Philippines)

Torre is a URCC veteran with a stunning record of six fights, six wins all by submission and five of those finished in the first round. Toquero is going to have to be something a bit special to even hear the bell to finish round 1. Personally I think Torre is about to go 7-0.

Joseph Mercado (1-0) (Philippines)  Vs Troy Bantiag (1-0) (Philippines)

Rolando Gabriel Dy (0-1) (Philippine) Vs Alde Alonzo De Zosa (1-0) (Philippines)

Tristan Arenal (4-2) (USA) Vs Richie “Rich” Redman (2-1) (Philippines)

Alvin Cacdac (10-9)  (USA) Vs Rex Wa-O (0-1) (Philippines)

This seems a super strange match up. A very experienced but not great fighter against a not very experienced 0 -1 fighter.

Guzman “The Flashlight” Pia-Yas (no record) (Philippines) Vs Trevin Jones (2-1) (Guam)

PXC Bantanweight Title Bout

Justin “The Shocker” Cruz (18-4) (Guam)  Vs Crisanto “The Slugger” Pitpitunge (3-1) (Philippines)
The Shocker is on a four fight win streak although he has only had one fight in the past year. All four of those fights were via Unanimous Decision. The Slugger is the new kid on the block in comparison and has a three fight win streak. His only loss was to Mark “Mugen” Striegl (10-0) at URCC Baguio 3 which is no disgrace. He is from the famous Team Lakay (Baguio City)  This is an exciting match-up and should provide an exciting end to the evening.

PXC31 is presented by San Mig Strong Ice and Sports 5. Special thanks to Egames, Best Western F1 Hotel, Rogin E, Fitness First, Beer Below Zero, Premiere Condoms, FHM Philippines, FHM.com.ph, Healthway Agility Phil, Real Sports Radio, Loqal.ph.
