The Ultimate Fighter To Come To India, The Philippines And Australia
In the press conference for UFC on FX 2 Dana White said that India, The Philippines and Australia will be next to get the Ultimate Fighter
If this is not proof of the growth of MMA in the AsiaPacific and also the importance that the UFC places on this area for growth for the UFC brand, then I don’t know what it will take to make people believe.
Will any of the fighters we know and love get a chance? Who knows, I suspect that a lot of them will be desperately hoping for a chance at the try outs. I’m sure Dana White may be getting lots of tweets from local fighters!
The real fact is if you are interested in being a professional MMA fighter this is as big an opportunity as you will get. Nothing is bigger in the MMA world than a UFC contract.
And, if anything can provide a massive thumbs up for the bankability of MMA in the Asia Pacific this is it! Sponsors form an orderly queue please many fighters are waiting to receive your sponsorship dollars.
The Ultimate Fighter is not America’s Got Talent, almost everybody who has proved them self at TUF has had a great opportunity to grow their careers to undreamed of heights. These guys don’t get forgotten once the show is finished.
Here’s some past winners for you:
Nate Diaz, Diego Sanchez, Rashad Evans, Michael Bisping, Ryan Baderand that’s just the first five I could think of.
