DARE Announce A Middleweight Fight between ‘BK’ Brandon Kesler VS ‘Takase’ Daiju Takase

Published on December 14, 2011 by  in DAREEvent
Dear Friends of DARE,

This fight can be considered as one of the most historical fights, ever in the sport of MMA in Thailand, as a well known local fighter faces a UFC and Pride veteran in Bangkok! EPIC!

DARE 1/12 MIDDLEWEIGHT FIGHT
Dare Fight Sports is proud to present the first MIddleweight fight (84 kilos/ 185lbs) of the DARE 1/12 event, coming to you Live from Club Insomnia Bangkok and broadcasted live on www.darelive.tv and on www.gfl.tv on 7th of January 2012:

BK – Brandon Kesler VS  TAKASE – Daiju Takase.

This fight sees an MMA legend take on a well known local fighter. TAKASE is best known for his submission win over Anderson Silva and has fought for both Pride and the UFC. BK is a long term Bangkok resident who hails from the US and normally provides the commentary for DARE events. He is a wrestler / boxer who will be looking to make a name for himself with a win over one of very few men to defeat the current UFC middleweight champion.
This fight has been organized with and is sponsored by DUBUIT Fight the Floods!

The winner of this fight will proceed to the Quarter-Final level of the DARE Championship and be one step closer to becoming one of the first DARE Champions and the receivers of the One Million Dollar Grand Bonus.
ONE MILLION DOLLARS. IN A CAGE. GAME ON.

BK – Kesler has been on the Bangkok scene for quite a while and is also the voice that people all over the world hear calling the play by plays for the DARE online broadcastings. He has incredible strength and very strong wrestling skills. BK is also an extremely aggressive fighter who loves to bang and will be hoping he can use his boxing skills to lay some leather on his Japanese opponent.
BK trains and fights out of 13 Coins Gym in Bangkok, where he also operates the gyms MMA program.

TAKASE – Daiju has been in there with the best in the business, Jeremy Horn, Nate Marquardt, Hayato Sakurai, Carlos Newton, Hector Lombard and, of course, Anderson Silva. He has been fighting since the early days of Pride and has been on the scene for well over a decade. Over half of his wins are by submission, his ground game is deadly and with so much experience he is likely to be very composed when he steps inside the DARE cage.
TAKASE fights out of Tokyo, Japan and represents IamI organization in his DARE bedut.

Here are the thoughts of veteran MMA journalist James Goyder,
“BK will definitely be the underdog but he is so big and aggressive that absolutely anything could happen when he is in the cage. TAKASE’s ground game is very sophisticated and I think BK might think twice about shooting for the takedown for this reason. The best chance the American has of winning this fight is with an early knock out and I expect him to come out swinging which should be fun for the fans.” he said.
