DARE 1-12 @ Club Insomnia Bangkok 7th January Fight Card and Predictions

Dear Friends, GAME ON!!!
DARE 1/2012 is just a few days away. We hope you are ready for some Epic fireworks, live from Bangkok!!!
7th of January 2012 - next Saturday - join us at Club Insomnia Bangkok or watch the fights live at www.darelive.tv!
I have decided that this year I am going to try to pick the winners in every event I cover. I managed 8-2 on UFC 141 but that was last year. This is 2012 .
I will post a running total of my results on the site and of course feel free to join me. It’s just a bit of fun. In many of the smaller organisations or events there will be fighters where I will have little hope of gathering enough information to make an educated pick, so guess what instead of pussying out I am going to make a wild guess! As I said it’s just for fun. I just find that having a bet of a horse race, or while playing poker means i take more notice of whats going on and this way, I will learn more about the fighters.
SO HERE WE GO – PREDICTION TIME!
FIGHT ONE (Welterweight)  Ammar “Rock” Tchalabi (1-0-0) Vs  Andrea “Capo” Signorini (1-0-0)
I don’t know enough about these two guys to offer an educated prediction, but what the hell let’s take a wild guess just for fun. Capo has a background in Judo, Boxing and recently won a Bronze medal in a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Competition as well as being a powerlifter against Rock with a Muay Thai background.  It’s a pure guess but I will take the Capo to Win.
FIGHT TWO (Featherweight)  Mangthus “The Beast” (3-0-0) Rewtawee Vs  Tanaphong “Lana Warrior” Khunhankaew
Again, personally I know little of these fighters but I’m all for a bit of fun. These two guys are vastly experienced fighters, The Beast has trained in Wrestling and Judo and has won medals at both sports. He has also claimed an Amateur MMA Champion of Thailand title. Lana Warrior is a Muay Thai veteren with over 80 fights, he has fought in Boxing events and trained in  Judo and Jiu Jitsu. I am going with a Win for Lana Warrior based upon his standup experience.
FIGHT THREE (Lightweight) Shane “Ronin” Wiggand (0-3-0) Vs Marko “Mad Dog” Huusansaari (3-2-0)
This should be a battle, a Ronin is a Judo and Muay Thai practitioner  with lots of experience and amateur fights behind him. Mad Dog has fought both Muay Thai and MMA and will be keen to forget his last fight when he was knocked out in just 59 seconds by Arnold Agapito (at URCC Bagiou 3, The Philippines). That being said I am going for Mad Dog to Win.
FIGHT FOUR (Featherweight) Majee “Major” Overall (2-1-0) Vs A.J. PYRO (1-0-0)
Major has two wins via submission, his ground game is a strong point but he has also much Muay Thai experience. Pyro has one win from his debut via decision. I think Major has more experience and a more rounded game Major to Win.
FIGHT FIVE (Featherweight) Teerapak “EX2DJ” Saetae (3-0-0) Vs Tondamrong “TDR” Panjabutra (2-0-0)
EZ2DJ is a practitioner of Muay Chaiya and apparently he has a solid ground game, TDR is a Judo expert who has been working on his striking and ground work. I am going for EX2DJ to Win.
FIGHT SIX (Middleweight)  Brandon “BK” Kesler (0-2-0) Vs Daiju Takase (9-13-2)
Well it’s going to be a fun fight Daiju Takase is probably most famous for beating Anderson Silva way back in 2003 at PRIDE 26. Here’s the deal with this fight, it’s experience against power. Almost 50% of Takase losses come via TKO and therefore we have to assume that if BK has any chance it will be a big powerful punch. However, Takase is too surely experienced to stand and bang and should take BK down and Submit him. Takase to Win.
Due to an unfortunate, last minute training accident of Cris Haja, THE GAME vs HAJA fight has been re-scheduled and will headline the next DARE event, “DARE 2/2012″.
Stay tuned for more updates about DARE 1/2012!
