JAZOR “THE RAZOR” ABLASI’S SPARTY

 What is a Sparty?

AFTER A TRIUMPHANT FIGHT during the Pacific Xtreme Combat (PXC), Jazor “The Razor” Ablasi wished to share his success with his sponsors and friends. Supported by his enthusiasts at the Shape Right Gym, a gym that he owns, SPARTY was born. SPARTY came from the words sparring and party. It was primarily conceptualized to expose amateur mixed martial arts fighters while the viewers are having fun.
The first SPARTY held last September 10, 2011 at Shape Right Gym, 2nd Floor, Caoili Bldg., Pine Valley Plaza, La Trinidad, Benguet was surprisingly successful. It has fascinated more than a hundred guests and participants and was able to captivate the interest of the MMA community here in the North. There were 22 fighters with six coaches from different universities and gym clubs from La Union, Baguio, Benguet, and Mt. Province. It was graced by international fighters.  The said event was also reinforced by the  La Trinidad Emergency Medical Service and Fire Department. As a consequence, we are compelled to hold another “SPARTY” in order to respond to the high demand of the different Universities and Gym Clubs. Hence, the Adivay Colt 45 SPARTY 2.
In time for the Province’s Adivay Festival, it was held on the 12th of November, 2011. Fortunate as we were, we were able to tap Colt 45 Premium Beer as our major sponsor followed by the support of the Province of Benguet and the Municipal government of La Trinidad, Valley Bread, Masferre Pasalubong Center, PSEC, Log Cabin Sagada, Armiro and Bradley Gulian, Ibbayan Spa, Swiss Natural, SEM-R, M.L. Carantes, Health 100, NIIT and Kalei’s Grill and Restaurant. It was more successful than expected. There were seven (7) bouts.
Josapat Navarro dominated the night, being the champ for the main event. He won by split decision over Biondi Dayangadang in an extended round. Promising potential future MMA fighter Nicolo Espadero gained his honors via technical knockout against Jade Basingao during the second round. Denver Dingcawat thrashed Ronel Gabriel  through a unanimous decision. Last bout on the main card, Jonathan Christopher Corton, who obtained the fight of the night, defeated Mark Dictaan through a unanimous decision.
On the undercard, Felixander Bagayao succeeded by unanimous decision against Dumar Suguipil while Rex Castro was victorious over Daryll Fagayan by referee stoppage. On the opening bout, Jack Suldayan won against Prenslee Belino due to an injury declared by the ring physician, Dr. Lee Buasen.
Assisted by their advisers, MMA aficionado Dr. Dave L. Taclobao, Dr. Lee Buasen, Arch. Leeman B. Cosalan, the organizers headed by SPARTY Founder and Chairman Jazor “The Razor” Ablasi are so humbled and overwhelmed by the unexpected success of the event considering that this is their first time to hold such big event. “The Inception SPARTY 1” was only held at Shape Right Gym.
In the meantime, while SPARTY III is being organized, Ablasi is bound to start another rigid training in preparation for his upcoming fight at the One Fighting Championship (One FC).

Our thanks to  Chisamay B. Kedweng for keeping us informed
