CFC 19 – Friday 9th December – TV Commercial and Fight Card

This weekend Cage Fighting Championship are holding CFC 19 at The Big Top, Luna Park, Sydney.

CFC is Australia’s biggest MMA organisation and of course now also apart of the colossal ONE FC party.

CFC is no joke having launched both UFC fighters (Kyle Noke and James Te Huna) and Bellator Middleweight Champion Hecotr Lombard.

Considering the fact that the UFC has done some groundwork in Australia and also the fact that they have a history of swallowing up the competition, it seem’s strange that they left CFC unattended so that Victor Cui could add them to his collection. This will surely mean that the stream of MMA fighters in Australia will be less likely (in the short term) to head to the UFC providing ONE FC can keep them occupied.

I guess eventually the UFC will have to attempt to poach the biggest and the best of the ONE FC champions further down the road, once ONE FC has proven itself and created it’s own champions of course. The UFC have to, if only to prove that it is the BEST MMA organisation with the BEST fighters, and  of course if those ex ONE FC fighters prove themselves in the UFC that can only lead to more respect for ONE FC.

But by that stage of course we will know how big ONE FC could be and how the UFC have responded to the threat in Asia. It’s exciting times ahead.

But first comes Friday night in Sydney. CFC 19, the best sport in the world in one of the best cities in the world. Good Times!
